Week 1 - Spring Quarter

This week we had the first meeting of the Spring quarter. It was exciting to introduce Grace and Kati to this quarter’s project. Kyle and I got the chance to present the project to the new interns and describe the nature of the issue and why we are exploring it in this way. The preparations for this week’s survey and all of the tools and ideas that I put together last week were coming to fruition. During this quarter, I was excited to use the data collection procedures that I had worked closely with Natalia and the team of interns on last quarter; an excellent first meeting because Kati and Grace brought new questions and perspectives to the project. I think about how it is essential to have collaborators in research projects.

I decided to use communication methods to reach out to the team for scheduling techniques. First, I asked for a general overview of their schedules on a Google Sheet to schedule us accordingly on Google calendar. I started with a decent amount of communication on how this would work.
